Lachha Paratha | Indian Bread Lachha Paratha | How To Make Lachha Paratha

Cooking Time: 45min (Dough needs rest for about 20 min)

Ingredients:

Wheat flour or Atta or All-purpose flour 2 Cups
Oil 2 Tablespoons

Recipe: 
  1. Let's make a dough from wheat flour or all-purpose flour, cause it need rest for about 20 min. Take a bowl and add wheat flour, salt and 2 tablespoons of oil. We need to knead dough from it by adding normal temperature water bit by bit. We need to make one nice and soft dough.
  2. We need to knead it more 2 min so that our lachha paratha will get fluffiness. Once the dough is done, cover it and keep it aside for about 20 minutes.
  3. After 20 minutes, we need to make 4 portions out of it. Now we will take one of them, sprinkle some dry flour and roll it.
  4. We need to roll it like roti and its thickness should be roti's thickness. Meas its slightly thick.
  5. Now we will brush it by ghee or melted butter, on top of that we need to sprinkle some dry flour. As we shown in referral images.
  6. Now we need to make plates from it like we have shown in the image.
  7. After done with whole plates, we need to fold it in a circular motion and the last edge will get press under the circle.
  8. That's it difficult part is over, 😓 now press it gently by palm and sprinkle some dry flour on top of it and bottom also. Start rolling it gently, don't press it more, the lachha paratha's are thick enough, but it should be less than 1/2 centimetres. 
  9. Heat up the flat pan. Add a spoon of ghee on top of it and now spread the paratha on it. Make a flame medium now cook it by pressing it gently by all the sides.
  10. Now you flip it and roast it on another side also, till it gets golden dots on it. You can again flip it and add ghee or butter on another side. Otherwise, if you like you can add it at the time of serving. Don't make the flame low while roasting it, otherwise, it will become chewy. That's all here your lachha paratha is ready to eat.

Tips:
If you are using all-purpose flour, make sure you are adding 2 tablespoons of yogurt in it. It will add some extra moisture to this paratha. It will also add some rich test.

In traditional Indian bread, we are not going to using any type of yeast at all. In this rich kind of bread contains about 260 calories. It's very healthy in nature, but contain more calories as we used too much ghee or butter in it.

Mainly in North India, its very famous and the peoples loved to have it. In marriage functions or some special occasion, they used to make it. In all over India, you will get this bread in Panjabi menu of all the restaurants. 

It's very costly for the pocket to have a lachha paratha for normal peoples in India. Cause it contains lots of ghee and lots of efforts the price is very high to buy this kind of paratha. People usually make it at home as fun with spicy vegetables. 

In North India people usually have it with butter paneer, kofta curry, paneer tikka masala, green peas masala, mutter paneer like spicy veggies, which contains lots of gravy and lots of vegetables. Don't worry we will come up with all these different kind of spicy veggies also.

1) Roll the dough and brush it with ghee, sprinkle some dry flour on top of it and start to make the plates from it:
