It's a very famous dessert in India has around 400 calories. Normally we have it as after-meal sweets.

In many reasons of Indian its use as the Bhog, it means they are offering it to god after praying and it's hygienic, no one tests it before the god. It must be distributed with all peoples available at the moment. No one can refuse it to have, as per the tradition. That's why in South India its called as Mohan Bhog.

Sooji ka halwa is often made for an auspicious occasion or a pooja.

In India, its made for festive occasions like Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi or a religious ceremony conducted in your home. Since this is an easy and quick halwa recipe, you don’t need any excuse or occasion to make it. We often make suji halwa as a bhog or naivedyam to be offered to the deities.

We always make Suji halwa with puri during the Navratri festival. On this day its ritual to offer kala chana, suji halwa and puri to the small girls (kanjak), who symbolize the mother goddess.

In Maharashtra, they called it as Sheera, which is very healthy and contain lots of ghee in it. Making this Suji halwa is very easy and it's so much testy.

Have it guys and give us the feedback in the comment section below to encourage our work. Making it also so much fun and make sure you are offering it to God before having it. 😊
