Rava uttapam recipe | instant suji uttapam recipe

Cooking Time: 45min (need to sock the batter for half an hour)

Ingredients:

Yogurt 1 cup
Semolina or suji1 cup
Salt As per test
Gram flour or Besan2 Tablespoons
Onion1 big
Tomato1 big
Desiccated coconut or fresh coconut 3 Tablespoons
Roasted peanuts2 Tablespoons
Sugar2 Tablespoons
Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
Green chilli 5 in quantity
Ginger paste or raw ginger1 Tablespoon
Chopped Coriander2 Tablespoons

Recipe: 
  1. Take a mixing bowl, add semolina or suji, yogurt, gram flour and salt as per test (around 1 tablespoon) mix it and keep it aside for 30 min, you can see the reference image below.
  2. In a grinding jar add tomato and grind it well and add it into the mixture. Again add 4 chilli's and grind it well and add it to the mixture.
  3. Take a grinding jar and put desiccated coconut, peanuts, sugar, ginger, lemon juice, a green chilli, a tablespoon of chopped coriander and salt as per test (around a half teaspoon), grind it well once and after that add a half cup of water in it and grind it again. Our chutney is ready, keep the thickness as you like.
  4. Now after half an hour of rest our batter is ready to make uttapam, add about 1 and a half cup of water which will give you very flowing consistency, as mentioned in the reference image.
  5. Add finely chopped onion into it and now you can make the uttapam. On very hot pan add about a cup of mixture and spread it thinly on the pan. Lower the flame now and spread some oil from sides of it will help it to leave sides.
  6. After a min of cooking you can flip it, now let it cook by anther side also (for a min) and your Uttapm is ready to eat, serve it with chutney.

Tips:
You can also it this with tomato ketchup. Take a quick test after the batter is ready to make uttapam and chilli or salt as per your test.

People in India will have it as breakfast, some regions don't have an idea about this kind of quick Uttapam. It contains 170 calories in one piece, so you can enjoy it at breakfast.
