Palak Paneer | Spinach With Indian Cottage Cheese | Restaurant style palak paneer

  Cooking Time: 45 min (for 2 peoples)

Ingredients:
Item Quantity
Palak or Spinach  3 Cups
Paneer 250 Grams
Gram flour or Besan 1 and 1/2 Tablespoon
Garlic cloves 8 to 9 Cloves small size
Cumin Seeds 1/2 Tablespoon
Green chilli 4 In quantity
Onion 3 In quantity
Tomato 2 Medium in size or 1 big
Cashew nuts  4 in quantity
Ghee or butter 1 Tablespoon
Sesame Seeds or til 1/2 Tablespoon
Coriander powder 1 Tablespoon
Ginger paste 1 Teaspoon
Bay leaf 1 and 1/2 leaf
Black pepper powder  1 Teaspoon
Curd or yogurt 1/2 cup
Oil 5 Tablespoons
Salt As per test
Chopped Coriander 5 Tablespoons

Recipe: 
  1. Let's start with making our gravy first, slice the onion, green chilli, tomato and spinach roughly, cause we are going to grind it in next stage, so no more worries about the size.
  2. Take a pan to add 2 tablespoons of oil in it. After heating up the oil add cumin seeds, garlic cloves, green chilli and onion. Saute it well till onion turns brown, add tomato and cook it till tomato become soft.
  3. Within this stage, you are getting lots of spicy smell from it. So add the curd and cashew nuts in it. While adding the curd make sure you are working on lower flame and you keep stirring it continuously, otherwise curd gets sour.
  4. Mix it well and add palak or spinach in it. We need to make it soft, basically, it will get reduce in quantity and become half. So after adding spinach just cover the pan for a min.
  5. After cooling down the mixture, grind it well with the addition of coriander in grinding jar. 
  6. Now final step of cooking, heat up the pan and add 3 tablespoons of oil in it. Add bay leaf, gram flour or besan stir it well and add sesame seeds or til, ginger paste and paneer cubes.
  7. Add the palak puree, black pepper powder and salt as per test. We need to add a half cup of water in it with some ghee on top of it.
  8. Cover it for 3 to 4 min on low flame and your palak paneer recipe is ready to serve.

Tips:
1) Add some thick cream and garam masala, while adding spinach gravy to get the best results.
2) Add a teaspoon of sugar will balance the recipe if curd is little sour.
